Stairlift Grants & Rebates

Grants for new Stairlifts are available from your local council. They can cover up to 100% of the cost for the survey, supply and fitting of any new Stairlift.

This grant is called a “Housing adaptation grant for older people and people with a disability” within this there is a section referred to as “Mobility Aids Grant”. The grant is a retrospective grant and must be applied for in a certain way.

At Mobility Assist / ABC Stairlifts we have a lot of experience with these grants, we keep copies of the required grant application forms and we will gladly supply you with same should it be required and advise on how best to complete the application form.

In reference to rebates, VAT is totally reclaimable on any NEW mobility assist aids. We supply a full VAT invoice together with the reclaim form at on receipt of payment in full, we will also advise on the process.

In certain situations a 20% tax rebate may be applicable on NEW stair lifts. We will advise on the method for this reclaim.
